Bulawayo set for chilly mornings and sunny afternoons this weekend

Residents in Bulawayo can expect cold mornings and mild, sunny afternoons on Friday and throughout the weekend as dry winter conditions continue to dominate across the city.

According to forecasts from AccuWeather, Friday will start off with temperatures dipping to around 8°C to 9°C in the early morning before rising to a daytime maximum of about 19°C to 20°C under mostly sunny skies. No rainfall is expected.

The cold conditions are expected to persist into Saturday, with temperatures ranging from approximately 7°C in the morning to a high of around 19°C during the day, accompanied by clear skies and light winds.

Sunday is forecast to bring similar weather, although temperatures are expected to rise slightly, with afternoon highs reaching about 20°C while overnight temperatures remain chilly at around 8°C to 9°C. Sunny conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the city.

AccuWeather indicates that Bulawayo will continue experiencing typical mid-winter weather characterised by dry conditions, low humidity and cool nights through the first week of July. Daily temperatures for the month are expected to range between 20°C and 25°C, with little to no rainfall anticipated.

The weather service has advised residents to dress warmly during the early mornings and evenings when temperatures are at their lowest, while taking advantage of the pleasant daytime conditions for outdoor activities.
