ZANU PF Central Committee member and Bulilima Constituency legislator Cde Dingumuzi Phuti has called on members of the ruling party in his constituency to unite to ensure electoral success in the forthcoming elections.
Cde Phuti made the remarks on the sidelines of the final leg of the Zanu PF Matabeleland South constituency engagement meetings held at Madlambudzi Business Centre last Saturday.
The meeting brought together leadership from the constituency’s 19 wards to deliberate on the state of affairs in their respective areas.

The area MP was afforded an opportunity to outline development projects underway in the constituency, including the construction of new schools, clinics and halls, establishment of a registry office, and the rollout of network infrastructure, among other initiatives.
Cde Phuti said it was encouraging to see party members responding positively to the call for unity by the party’s First Secretary, President Mnangagwa.
He urged members to further accelerate unity across the constituency in order to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
“I am happy that we are heeding President Mnangagwa’s call to strengthen our party through unity and engagement with our lower structures. It was a very colourful event which taught us a lot of lessons that come as a result of proper engagement with our grassroots. I call upon members in the district to be united at all times,” said Cde Phuti.
He added that the engagement of all lower party structures across the 19 wards had been described as trailblazing by Deputy National Political Commissar Cde Shamu.
“Our province coming together with all the lower structures to engage our people in all the 19 wards of the constituency was admitted by the Deputy National Political Commissar, Cde Shamu, as trailblazing and the first of its kind in Zanu PF. It gives us the impetus to forge ahead stronger and more united towards a well-deserved victory in the coming elections,” he said.
