Business forum to hold social investment indaba

University Vice Chancellor Professor Primrose Kurasha is expected to deliver the keynote address at the event slated for April 29 while BBTN partner Mrs Edzai Marange will chair the proceedings.

Mrs Marange said Professor Kurasha would talk about how different organisations could kick-start their social investment programmes.
“As BBTN, we firmly believe that it is time to go beyond CRS and move into the CSI reality for real social change and real contribution to economic success.
“CSI is the emerging means to achieve economic success through creating economic value in a way that also creates value for society by addressing its needs and challenges and businesses must reconnect company success with social progress,” said Mrs Marange.

The Business Breakfast Talk and Networking is the brainchild of captains of industry from all sectors of the economy and was officially launched in January this year having been formed in November last year.
“BBTN was set up by a cluster of captains of industry to assist corporates and individuals who have the passion to grow their businesses through networking and unique idea sharing.

“We have a cross-section of both local and international speakers who share on business success stories, through inspirational power talk to our members, while businesses will also get the opportunity to sponsor and sell their products and activate brands,” said Mrs Marange.
BBTN will be hosting such forums monthly with various topics being discussed and this month’s forum will be co-sponsored by various brands.

“Our thrust is to get stakeholders to connect so as to grow their businesses. We bring business leaders together to share business ideas and depending on the theme for a particular seminar, guest speakers will demonstrate practical dynamic ways of doing business through networking and building business relationships,” she added.
