He says she is on a very big mission to leave him ‘BROKE’

HARARE businessman Itai Samanyai is embroiled in a messy divorce from his estranged wife amid allegations of signatures which were forged to enable the sale of a house in Madokero.
The businessman is linked to the ownership of Invictus Fitness Centre which has gyms in Harare.
Itai and his wife, Grace Precious Mutongerwa-Samanyai, have four kids but they have been living separately for some time now.
Itai claims she threw him out of their matrimonial house and has accused Grace of being on a mission to ensure that by the time the storm is over, he would be BROKE.
Grace has dragged Itai to the Harare Civil Court demanding US$3,000 a month for the upkeep of their four children.
Itai says he can’t afford to pay US$3,000 a month for the upkeep of his four children.
On his LinkedIn profiles, Itai says he is the chairman of Tadakara Resources and the Chief Financial Officer of Tadakara Construction Company (Pvt) Ltd.
On her LinkedIn profile, Grace describes herself as an executive director at Invictus Fitness Centre.
She says she “has been a trailblazing business leader who has used her sheer will, drive and intellect to overcome the odds and occupy space in some of the most demanding boardrooms in Zimbabwe.”

After graduating from the University of Zimbabwe with a degree in Accounting and an MBA in Project Management, which she attained at the London School of Business and Finance, she says she was promoted to become a General Manager at one of the companies she worked for before her 30th birthday.
She also worked in the local cinema industry and is the Executive Director at a regional company specialising in business and project management consultancy services.
While the two appear to be flying in their professional spaces, their marriage has flown into severe turbulence.
Grace wants Itai to pay S$3,000 every month for the upkeep of their children.
However, through his lawyer, Itai opposed the claims, which he called ridiculous.
“I can’t afford such an amount, it’s ridiculous and not a healthy request.
“She kicked me out of the house and I am trying to get back on my feet. She seems to be on a mission to leave me broke.
“She filed for divorce and later withdrew the application claiming that we are still married even though we separated.”
Itai then claimed that this was just a sideshow to the real story in which Grace allegedly forged signatures to sell their house in Madokero, which is before the courts.
“We have an ongoing fraud case in which she admitted to fraudulently forging signatures in order to sell our Madokero house,” he said.
The matter has been deferred to June 27 after the court ordered Grace to substantiate her claim for the US$3,000 monthly payment.
