Busisa Moyo new ZITF board chair

The Government has appointed United Refineries chief executive and former CZI president Mr Busisa Moyo as the new board chairperson of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) with effect from March 13 this year.

Mr Moyo takes over from Ms Ruth Ncube whose tenure of office came to an end last year.

Announcing the appointment in a statement yesterday, Industry and Commerce Minister, Dr Sekai Nzeza said she was confident that Mr Moyo’s business acumen and experience will be resourceful in re-positioning, modernising and transforming ZITF into a formidable regional and international player.

“He is an accomplished business leader, industrialist, entrepreneur and nation-builder who has been recognised with various awards and accolades both within Zimbabwe and internationally.

“Currently, he is the chief executive officer of United Refineries Limited and a member of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Board,” said the minister in a statement.

She commended Ms Ncube for her dedicated contribution to ZITF Company’s strategic direction.

Mr Moyo holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (BCompt) Degree from the University of South Africa and completed his Articles with Deloitte & Touche in 1999.

He also holds a Global Executive Masters in Business Administration from IESE Business School (Spain).

He also served as chairman of the Oil Expressers Association of Association and Non-executive Director of First Capital Bank.
