‘BUY NOW, PAY LATER’ SCHEME YIELDS RESULTS

H-Metro Reporter

PREMIER Credit Zimbabwe (PCZ) yesterday hailed retail outlets and civil servants for embracing their “Buy Now, Pay Later” money lending scheme.

The flexible money lending scheme is also open to anyone with collateral and not blacklisted.

Under the scheme, PCZ finances clients to buy products from selected retail outlets which offer flexible discounts.

Outlining their vision, PCZ distribution executive, Felix Masuka, said their scheme was aimed at assisting both retailers and customers to ease ways of doing business.

“We might be relatively new in the game, but we have been playing our part in financing our clients who only need to come and register with us for loans at our Hungwe House offices in Harare.

“Clients can bring quotations of what they want to buy from reputable retailers and we then pay on their behalf.

“Afterwards, we then ask our clients to pay back the money with a small interest,” he said.

Masuka said they have assisted a number of people, including players in the construction industry, farming and other sectors.

“The arrangement we have with our clients is good in that we can assist them to buy stuff such as building materials, farming inputs and school uniforms on time to avoid inconveniences.

“The advantage is that we have payment terms that are friendly and flexible.

“In other words, it’s a win-win situation where clients and retailers benefit,” he said.

PCZ marketing executive, Tafadzwa Jengwa, urged people to visit their offices for clarity.

“In cases of customers with queries or who need clarity regarding our scheme, they can visit us at 69 Hungwe House in Harare.

“I think this scheme is clear in that you purchase your own stuff on time and pay later.

“We facilitate payment and ensure that you get your goods on time. This is a new concept altogether where we pay on your behalf and we spread the payment period between three and 12 months,” he said.

Jengwa said they also offer cash loans to those paid in foreign currency.

“We have new packages for our clients like cash loans where people can borrow from us with the blessing of their employers.

“The employer comes in as a guarantor for us to process cash loans,” he said.

PCZ also supplies laptops, irrigation equipment, furniture, smart phones, electrical appliances, and solar equipment and installation services.
