Byo firms to hold annual business week

BULAWAYO is set to host the inaugural annual business week for city companies to create a platform that will assist companies identify especially external markets.

The exhibition is being organised by Bulawayo City Council in collaboration with the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce and the Association for Business in Zimbabwe.

Speaking to Business Chronicle on the sidelines of a business cocktail in Bulawayo, the organising committee’s chairperson Victor Sikukula said the upcoming event would see firms in the city showcasing different services and products.

The annual business week, which will run under the theme, “Integrating Bulawayo Business” runs from November 2 to 7.

“The business week will feature an exhibition style setting with businesses showcasing their services and products.”

He said the event was also meant to assist those companies that could not participate at the annual Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF). Sikukula said the annual business week was meant to highlight the success story of existing companies in the city despite the many challenges that have forced some companies to close while others have relocated to other cities and towns.
