run for six weeks at Avondale Bowling Club and at the City Bowling Club.
Bowlers have already played their first and second rounds which some of the participants described as very exciting and competitive.
Highlands bowlers Tom Craven and Core Howard-William said they had a good start as they won one and lost one match in their section. We won one and lost one . . . We beat Allyson Dale and Mike Davies 21-20 but unfortunately lost 14-16 in our second round.
“We are looking forward to the third round where will have to give our best shots and I believe we will do well,” said Craven.
The CABS competition is an annual event, which is sponsored by local building society CABS, and it attracts most of the best bowlers from Harare.
Robbie Robison and Kerry Craven from Alexandra Sports Club won both their two matches in their section.
Craven said they still have three matches to play in their section.
“We still have three games before we enter another section of the winners and so far I am happy with our start as we had a good competition,” said Craven.
Debbie Robertson and Colin Robertson are the current champions.
