IN line with latest global trends, Africa’s football mother body, Caf, has flighted tenders for capable offers to live stream its competitions which could also greatly help in improving the standard of the game on the continent.
The tender was flighted this week with the deadline for applications set for December 10.
“Caf is interested to get an offer for the provision of a global streaming solution for its own competitions, which could be used also by any of its Member Associations.
This turnkey solution will enable Caf and its Member Associations to live stream, upload and syndicate data and video content through a dedicated platform,” reads part of the tender flighted by Caf on Wednesday.
This job will include 60x streaming system for live production content from stadiums. Each system will be composed of at least, one camera (Sony HDR-CX455 or equivalent) with tripod, two live streaming encoder, 2 by 4G mobile routers, OTT platform with the latest technologies, including but not limited to cloud services, geo-blocking, adaptive bitrate, Live and VOD, Video player with on-screen graphics, automatic live commentaries and data statistics, platform fully customisable in terms of visual identity, with the possibility to banners and pre-roll videos for sponsors
“The possibility to embed the platform on Caf website or Member Associations’ website, the possibility to distribute content on Twitter using the video player of the solution proposed, commercialisation services to monetise all content and data, full time technical support and one local workshop for each Caf Member Associations,” said Caf.
Despite it’s flagship Total African Cup of Nations tournament, Caf also offers a number of other international and club competitions. Caf is also the biggest of the six continental confederations of Fifa with 54-member associations, including Zimbabwe.
