“The event was so competitive and the low scores will give us pressure to work hard ahead of the Golden Pilsener Zimbabwe Open.
“We have good young players who are coming up and they have a bright future.
“I am now looking forward to the next event at Borrowdale Brooke and I hope I will do well. The win did not come as a surprise as I played my game with the intention of having a positive result.”

Zambezi Tour tournament director, Michael Mahachi, said it is a good start to the season and congratulated Cairns for winning the event.
“We are happy that the event went on well and the weather allowed us to finish without disturbances.
“It is good that the players practice and have game time especially going towards the Zimbabwe Open. I believe the Tour is trying its best and will continue to look for support and have the professionals play as many tournaments as possible,” Mahachi said.
