CAL_VIN, “that Luveve boy”, feels he is ready to launch his album this Saturday with 500 advance tickets he availed almost sold out.

The album, Planet Vin, will be launched at Elite 400 in Bulawayo at an event he has dubbed: “Made in Bulawayo Hip Hop Concert”.

Fellow Bulawayo artistes, Mawiza, Frost, Asaph, GTi, Mzoe7, Cliff Jeans, Super Geeks, Te3vo, Brythreesixty, Jungle Bwoi, Crystalline and DJs Skaiva and Arnold will assist him unveil his latest addition.

Cal_Vin, who performed to a full house in Victoria Falls last weekend, said all was set for the album launch, adding that it was going to be momentous.

“I’ve already sold nearly 400 tickets at $3 each. The night will be historic and memorable,” said Cal_Vin.

It will be a double celebration for Cal_Vin as he will, on the same night, perform with Jah Prayzah who is also launching his latest album – Mudhara Vachauya in the city. Jah Prayzah’s launch will be at the Large City Hall Car Park.

“People shouldn’t panic that the two events will clash as my launch will be at 5PM while Jah Prayzah’s is expected to start at about 9PM. At that time, I’ll be long done,” said Cal_Vin.

The hip hop artiste, who is currently on a musical break, said after Planet Vin, he would not be releasing another album anytime soon.

Over the past months, Cal_Vin has released tracks My Life, Izandla Emoyeni (featuring Asaph) and Picture Perfect (featuring Jungle Bwoi) from this forthcoming album. The songs have received positive feedback showing that Cal_Vin may be billed for more awards from this album. He said he was considering collaborating with some artistes from Victoria Falls whom he described as a “sidelined” lot.

CrisOzzy, real name Owen Ndlovu, one of the artistes who performed with Cal_Vin in the resort town, said he hoped to collaborate with “that Luveve boy”.

“I wish to work with people like Cal_Vin. Sometimes in this industry, it’s not about making money, but building a name and trust among your fans,” said CrissOzzy.
