Rapper Cal_vin joins the likes of Doctor Malinga, Zinhle Ngidi and many others during a tour in neighbouring South Africa that will see the Bulawayo wordsmith take his talent to stages south of the Limpopo for the first time in his career.
Starting with a show on 6 May at the Standerton Tolbos Farm, the Unlock My Hometown tour will see some of South Africaas music luminaries and upcoming artistes share the stage at various venues and cities around South Africa.
Cal_vin and Botswanaas DJ Lady K are the only foreign acts that will grace the show.
This will be the rapperas second sojourn outside Zimbabwe, after his visit to Germany last year that saw him share the stage with the likes of South Africaas Cassper Nyovest.
The rapper revealed that he would be leaving Zimbabwe soon for what he expects might be an extended stay in South Africa.
a?I havenat received the full calendar yet so I donat know how far spaced apart the shows are. However, Iam fairly certain that I will be in South Africa for a little while,a? said Cal_vin.
He went on to add that the tour gave him the perfect opportunity to push for collaborations with South African acts, many of who share his style and approach to music.
a?It presents a great networking opportunity for me and the fact that I will be moving around with these people around South Africa makes it even better,a? Cal_Vin said.
