A popular Cameroonian preacher, Apostle John Chi, has commended Zimbabwe for the peaceful environment prevailing in the

country.

Apostle Chi, who is the founder of Ark of God Covenant Ministries based in Cameroon, was one of the closest men to the late

renowned Nigerian preacher, Temitope Balogun Joshua.

He was speaking soon after his arrival in the country on Tuesday for a two-day crusade dubbed ‘Healing Our Land Zimbabwe’,

which will kick off this Friday at the City Sports Centre in Harare, and is expected to attract thousands of people from diverse

walks of life to pray for the country.

He was received at the Robert Mugabe International Airport by the local coordinator, Mrs Sitheni Moyo and Apostle Freddy

Kamombe.

Apostle Chi, who was flanked by a delegation from his country and locals, said the crusade was expected to shower Zimbabwe

with blessings from God to perpetuate tranquillity in the country.

He said the church is increasingly playing an integral role in tackling social ills affecting communities, including the abuse of

drugs and dangerous substances.

“Fellow servants of God, I am here in Zimbabwe to share the good news of Jesus Christ. This is my second time to visit

Zimbabwe,” said Apostle Chi.

“The main purpose of the crusade is to pray for Zimbabwe and its leadership so that God will continue to bless the country and

the people will continue enjoying the prevailing peace.

“In this regard, I would also want to appreciate the leadership of Zimbabwe, especially the President, for promoting peace and

tranquility in the country.

“In the same vein, we will also look at challenges that communities are facing, including ailments, poverty and drug abuse

among the youth.”

He said they are expecting thousands of delegates from all walks of life to attend the crusade.

Christian pilgrimage is regarded as a major contributor to the tourism sector and it bolsters regional integration through

interaction.

Since the inception of the Second Republic, the country went on a re-engagement and engagement drive. Zimbabwe also

continues to make strides to ensure a peaceful environment.
