GHANAIAN Afropop star, Camidoh, is set to perform on the shores of Kariba in December.

Born Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachi, the singer has been booked for December 3 at Nyamhunga Stadium.

Dubbed “The Heatwave”, this show will be the first time for an international act to perform in the resort town and excitement has already gripped fans.

“We are excited to bring Camidoh to Kariba and this is a show of a kind and probably the biggest in the resort town in a while.

“This is also a big boost for us to market the town as a tourist destination of choice during the festive season,” said show organiser, Boss Ringo, of Afro Empire Entertainment.

The Sugarcane hit-maker will share the stage with Jah Master and Bazooker who have been confirmed for the show that is likely to draw many fans down to the Kariba Gorge.

The Chillspot Records trio of DJ Fantan, Levels and Ribhe will also provide entertainment during the event.

Boss Ringo has assured fans that the Camidoh date is a done deal and has promised to add more flavour to lure foreigners to attend the gig.

“Camidoh is an established artist and we are expecting nothing but fireworks to light the resort town.

“We are expecting a record crowd from both locals and outsiders.

“We have partnered a number of tourism players around Kariba to present a total package for the period before and after the gig,” said Boss Ringo.

Advance tickets to the show are going for US$10 for ordinary entry while VIP is going for US$30.
