Everything Biggie Biggie!
FLASHY, South Africa-based, multi-award-winning gospel musician Canaan Nyathi, appears to have it all — from owning a multi-million-rand company to driving luxurious cars — he is undoubtedly enjoying a fruitful season in his life.
As a gesture of gratitude to God for the abundant blessings he has received, Nyathi recently released a powerful single titled Biggie Biggie, under the banner of millionaire Passion Java’s recording label.
The track, produced by South Africa-based Cliff M and Spirit Zw, is accompanied by crisp, high-quality visuals directed by Shawn Ray.

Nyathi explained that the praise-filled song celebrates the greatness of God through vibrant African worship, enhanced by energetic dance routines.
“This was my first time ever recording a song in a studio — I usually do live recordings during concerts.
“It was also my first time shooting a music video, and while the experience was challenging, it was also therapeutic,” he said.
“This song will uplift your spirit and get you on your feet. It’s a powerful testament to the blessings we receive from God. Personally, I believe He has blessed me in an extraordinary way, which is why I sing, ‘My God is Big’.”
Nyathi, who is a member of the renowned Spirit of Praise ensemble, said he is now aiming to dominate television gospel charts, particularly on platforms such as Trace Gospel and One Gospel.
Meanwhile, the celebrated artiste has been nominated for the upcoming African Christian Legendary and Impact Makers Awards (Clima), set to take place at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg on 5 October.
The Clima Awards honour Christian professionals and ministers, who exemplify integrity and excellence in their fields.

This marks Nyathi’s second Clima nomination, following his win in 2024 for Best Southern Africa Artiste of the Year.
This time, his hit song Ukwenzile, performed with Spirit of Praise, has earned him a nomination for Africa Indigenous Song of the Year.
In this category, Nyathi faces formidable competition from a diverse group of talented artistes across the continent, including Progress Effiong from Nigeria with his track Akam Mi, Janet Otieno from Kenya with Raha, Sunmisola Agbebi from Nigeria with Owo Oluwa and Winnie Mashaba from South Africa with Go Rata Ke Morena.
