A 40-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo cancer patient is appealing for financial assistance to help her access bone marrow treatment in India.
Ms Rosina Chigumbura was diagnosed with a heart disease last year and needs US$18 800 to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
Ms Chigumbura is currently on chemotherapy which has taken a toll on her and drained all the savings. She told the Chronicle that the surgery had been scheduled for September this year and she failed to raise the required amount.
“I am appealing to well-wishers to help me and my family raise US$18 800 so that I can go for a bone marrow transplant in India. The procedure was scheduled for September this year at Workhardt Hospital in Mumbai but due to financial challenges it has been rescheduled to January next year,” said Ms Chigumbura.

“My forex account number is 9140002173556 and the Zim dollar one is 9140002173572 and we hope to get help as my situation is deteriorating with each passing day,” she added.
Ms Chigumbura was one of hundreds of participants who made it to the Zimpapers annual cancer walk two weeks ago where members of the public were urged to invest in healthy lifestyles.
