CAPS face Harare City

Their third game is against army side Black Rhinos.
CAPS United are currently under the guidance of Brenna Msiska and, in midfielder Hardlife Zvirekwi, have one of the players expected to make a huge impact this season.
According to the provisional fixture released by the Castle Lager Premiership’s chief executive Kenny Ndebele yesterday, the league is expected to start on the weekend of March 31/April 1.

“The dates for the fixtures are subject to change in order to accommodate the Zifa FA Cup,” said Ndebele.
Zifa president Cuthbert Dube recently hinted that they are working on plans to revive an all-inclusive FA Cup which will start with preliminary round matches in the four regions and then include the 16 Premiership teams for the main draw.

Other than the FA Cup, the BancABC Sup8r Cup will be making a return while the Mbada Diamonds Cup is also on the radar.
“We have reserved seven weekends for the BancABC Sup8r and the Mbada Diamonds Cup,” said Ndebele.
According to the fixtures, the PSL has set aside May 6 for midweek games but the biggest derby on the land, the Harare Derby, will be staged during round 10 of the league programme.

Derbies in Zimbabwe do not come any bigger than the clash between the green and blue halves of the capital and CAPS United will be at home during the first round.
Newboys Triangle could receive a rude welcome in the top league as the play Chicken Inn at Luveve in the first game and then meet the Chinda Boys at Maglas before hosting Bosso at in the Lowveld and then coming to the capital to play Dynamos.

Dynamos could be interested in monitoring all Triangles’ game as they will engage the same opponents in the following fixture for the league programme expected to finish around mid-November.
DeMbare will open the defence of their Premier Soccer League title defence with a match against police side Black Mambas at Morris Depot after having met the same opponents during round four in the fixtures last year.

In 2012, Dynamos initiated their successful defence of their trophy with a relatively easy tie against newcomers Hardbody, a side that failed to last another season in the Premiership while DeMbare’s 2011 campaign had taken off to a false start as they lost 1-0 to Kiglon.
DeMbare could be more than ready to face the police side, whom they beat 3-0 with goals from Simba Sithole, Cliff Sekete and Timire Mamvura at a water-logged Morris Depot on October 31 last year as they raced neck-and-neck with Highlanders for the league championship.

Callisto Pasuwa’s charges will be at familiar territories in Rufaro for their second assignment when they meet Chicken Inn at Rufaro, possibly on Sunday 7 April.
Chicken Inn wrote a fairy-tale last season when they played football for fun and managed to secure a credible top four finish under the tutelage of the late Adam Ndlovu.
The GameCocks have shown that they are eager to pick up from last year when they lifted their first silverware in the top-flight league last Sunday with a 3-1 victory over the highly fancied CAPS United in the NetOne Charity Shield final at Mandava.

Last year, Chicken Inn nearly derailed Dynamos’ bid to defend their title when they edged the champions 1-0 at Luveve after Gutrie Zhokinyi scored an own goal.
The clash of the titans between Highlanders and Dynamos has been slated for Week Five (April 27/28) at Rufaro as Shabanie Mine play FC Platinum in the Zvishavane Derby.
A lot of plots and sub-plots will characterise the build-up to the 65th Battle of Zimbabwe after fans were already warmed-up during the two legs of the Bob 89 Super Cup this year.

Dynamos will march into the big match with the bragging rights.
Last year’s clash of the titans at Rufaro failed to produce a winner as Sithole scored for DeMbare while Bruce Kangwa scored for Bosso.
