CAPS, FC Platinum cross swords

Kutsanzira scored a brace as CAPS United ran to a 3-1 victory over FC Platinum during a mid-week show at the giant stadium.

The Green Machine took a gamble by fielding the attacking player during the Harare Derby against Dynamos but he failed to provide the spark as he ran with a slight limp.
CAPS United did not include Kutsanzira in the team that travelled to Mandava for a match against Tripple B on Thurdsay and team manager Josephat Rwafa pointed that he will also miss the game tomorrow because of suspension.

“We are glad that we managed to pick a point away against Tripple B. Its also good that none of our players were injured but the only worry will be Kutsanzira who is suspended.
“The thing is we wrote to the PSL soon after the game against Dynamos informing them that we are suspending the player because of three yellow cards but they said we should wait to be guided by communication from their office.

“However, we had not indlucded him in the team to Mandava and now we have been informed that he is ineligible for this game,” said Rwafa.
But Rwafa said CAPS United are not losing sleep over Kutsanzira and believe the team will up their tempo from the game against newboys from the border town.

“We had a good game against Tripple B and scored some well taken goals. I must also say that even Tripple B scored some classic goals but our biggest let down was missing chances.

“I just hope that the attack will be more accurate this time,” said Rwafa.
Zambian coach Tennant Chilumba is hoping to bounce back from their stunning home defeat against Hwange.

“We played well but the boys were in a hurry to score goals and we ended up failing to score.
“I was disappointed with the defeat to a team that is struggling,” said Chilumba.

Chilumba, however, said he was not taking anything away from the way Hwange stole three points at Mandava. “But I also give them credit because they came here and battled hard and got the three points.”
