CAPS make first trip out of Harare

season, for a date against traditional rivals Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Makepekepe, who had a flying start to the season, had played their last eight games either at Rufaro or the National Sports Stadium and have won four, drawn two and lost two.
CAPS are currently fifth on the table with 14 points, three less than defending champions Motor Action, who top the charts with 17.
Chunga yesterday said his charges would not be affected by the change of environment as they hope to bounce back to winning ways after dropping four points in their last two matches.
He said the Green Machine, who drew 2-2 with FC Platinum, are not daunted by the prospect of facing a Highlanders side that has dominated most of their meetings in the last decade.
“It doesn’t matter who we play whether home or away. Highlanders are just like any other team in the league.
“What is important for us is to win our matches and maintain the momentum because the title is only lifted by winning games,” said Chunga.
Only a slim goal difference of two goals separate the teams on the table with Highlanders in sixth place and equal on 14 points to CAPS United.
The Bulawayo giants have been coming up the table but they suffered a setback when they lost 2-1 to Blue Ribbon in their last game.
Coach Mkuphali Masuku said Bosso, who will miss chief striker Njabulo Ncube through suspension and the injured pair of Gift Lunga and midfielder Graham Ncube, will be out for victory.
“We have done fairly well so far but are still trying to reach the highest level of our capabilities.
“We are not there yet and with time we will get there. We have more work to do and this game is one of the challenges we need to overcome,” said Masuku.
Zvishavane side FC Platinum, who missed an opportunity to go top of the table this week, will fight in a top-of-the-table clash against second placed Chicken Inn.
FC Platinum acting coach Philani Mabhena yesterday said the Premiership moneybags will bounce back to winning ways after suffering their first misfortune at home in a 3-0 defeat to Gunners on Wednesday.
FC Platinum had not lost at Maglas in their previous matches but a 3-0 defeat to Gunners spoiled their 100 percent winning record at home.
Mabhena said they were re-organising themselves as they prepare to host fellow debutants Chicken Inn tomorrow in the hope of collecting maximum points.
The defeat to Gunners, which denied them a chance to climb top of the table, was a real eye-opener for the star-studded club.
“The question of complacency is out. We have never, and we will never, be complacent because we take every game seriously.
“We conceded three goals in the first half, which made it difficult for us to come back into the match.
“I think it was just one of those bad days in office. Sometimes when it’s not your day there is really nothing you can do about it. We even missed a penalty, which could at least have helped change the complexion of the game had we scored.
“But I strongly believe we will bounce back. Of course Chicken Inn are a good team and it’s going to be difficult but we should put everything behind us and do it for our supporters,” said Mabhena.
FC Platinum will be hoping that their fullback Daniel Veremu, who missed their last game against Gunners, will be fit in time for the tie after suffering a toe injury.
The Platinum miners are third on the table with 16 points, one behind Chicken Inn who are tied on 17 points with leaders Motor Action.
Chicken Inn have had a good start to their maiden Premiership campaign after winning five times and losing once in eight matches.
