CAPS United meet Leonard Fiyado, their nemesis

Gunners had hosted CAPS United at Lafarge in a match that ended goalless.
Tomorrow Harare giants CAPS United, who are still searching for their first win of the season on the field, face a tricky assignment against Chando Kupisa in Manressa.
Gunners are going into the match bubbling with some confidence after a 2-0 victory over Monomotapa at Rufaro in their last outing. And again it was Fiyado who destroyed Monoz with his two goals and CAPS United have every reason to fear his presence.
“Last year I started playing regularly during the second half of the season and then finished with nine goals.
“This year I have started well and I opened my account with a brace against Monomotapa in the last game.
“So when we play CAPS United on Sunday, I am hoping that we will win and that I will score,” said Fiyado.
While Fiyado is hopeful of a good result over the Green Machine, he is not in anyway underrating CAPS United.
“Certainly the game will not be easy for any team.
“But we will try to push for a win,” said Fiyado.
If Fiyado cannot find the target, he will count on the ample support from Wellington Kamudyariwa and Cliff Sekete, who are also capable of tilting the game in their favour.
Gunners have also signed rangy striker Tendai “DJ Malaika” Nyamadzawo and William Munondo to provide more options in attack.
“Any team can win on the day and there are no longer any small teams or big teams in the league,” said Fiyado.
CAPS United will be missing attacking midfielder Marvel Samaneka and Tendai Samanja, who are injured.
Sean Connor, the CAPS United manager, revealed that Samaneka will be sidelined after he injured his ribs.
“Marvel cracked his ribs so he is out of this game.
“He did some light training but has not been running well so he is not playing,” said Connor this week.
CAPS United have scored just one goal this season — a penalty by goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda — and their in-field players could be hard-pressed to find the target.
Fixtures:
Today: Black Mambas v Monomotapa (Morris Depot), Chicken Inn v FC Platinum (Luveve), Motor Action v Blue Rangers (Motor Action Sports Club), Harare City v Quelaton (Gwanzura)
Tomorrow: Gunners v CAPS United (Lafarge), Shabanie v Hardbody (Maglas), Hwange v Buffaloes (Colliery), Highlanders v Dynamos (postponed).
