boost spectator interest in the 67th edition of the Harare Derby at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Green Machine will host bitter rivals Dynamos in a game that has taken centre stage all week.
The CAPS United road show team, which will be led by the club’s brand and marketing manager Alois Bunjira and other former players, will start in Mabvuku/Tafara at 10 am.
They will then drive to the Central Business District in the capital where they will have stop-overs at the Fourth Street Rank, CopaCabana Rank and Market Square.
The road show will then head for Chitungwiza at Makoni Shopping Centre at 2pm and then move to Seke Unit C, Unit L and Unit J.
Bunjira said they will be selling the club’s regalia, which includes replica jerseys, flags, T-shirts and key rings during the road show.
“This is going to be a continuous programme in which we go out there and meet the supporters, get to know their feelings and answering their questions. “We need them but we have discovered that some are no longer coming to the stadium to cheer their team,” said Bunjira.
The road show will move to Mbare, Glen-Norah, Glen-view, Budiriro, Kambuzuma, Warren Park, Dzivarasekwa, Kuwadzana and Highfield tomorrow. Bunjira revealed that plans are at an advanced stage to launch the club’s official website to improve communication with the supporters. He also urged the club’s fans to come and support the team on Sunday when they play DeMbare at the National Sports Stadium.
“It’s unfortunate we could not involve the players in the road shows because we want them to concentrate on the game on Sunday.
“It’s a very important game and we must all join hands in supporting the team to victory,” said Bunjira.
