CAPS United Football Club could emerge as an unconquerable force in local soccer this year after assembling what looks like a frightening collection of football stars during this transfer period.
In previous years the Zimbabwe football transfer market seemed to be making a paradigm shift as FC Platinum, Ngezi Platinum Stars, now-defunct How Mine and Harare City, who have a dramatic comeback to the league, exercised unassailable financial muscle.
Consequently, traditional giants a Highlanders, Dynamos and CAPS United a were relegated to recruiting through trials and promoting players from their junior structures as the platinum miners, How Mine, and Harare City pounced on big names in the league.

However, this year the story seems to have changed, with Makepekepe assembling what many local football enthusiasts would term a?Killer Machinea? while Bosso and DeMbare are on a rebuilding exercise.
CAPS head coach Llyod Chitembwe hit the ground running assembling a squad that looks set to clutch their second PSL championship inside two years.
The former Warriors and Makepekepe midfielder welcomed back their former captain Method Mwanjali who is coming from a brief playing stint in Tanzania pint- sized Ronald Chitiyo is making a return to the Harare Giants.
Now also in their camp is former Highlanders and How Mine utility player Milton Ncube who joined the Green Machine alongside his ex-teammate at Bosso Peter a?Rioa? Moyo.
The Green half of the capital miners also had successful contract negotiations with Denver Mukamba after having shut the door on another former DeMbare player Roderick Mutuma.
Mutuma was the biggest casualty along with Oscar Machapa as they had both hoped for a reunion with the Green Machine.
While their imposing goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda is now plying his trade outside the country, it was not long that we learnt that Munyaradzi Diya had opted for a stint with the former league champions.
Gifted Joel a?Jostaa? Ngodzo also committed to the Green Machine.
On paper CAPS look good, they are indeed a killer machine amid revelations that Wisdom Mutasa also recently went green. They have also captured returnees Dennis Dauda and Simba Nhivi.
The coming in on board of NetOne sponsorship was just what the doctor ordered. The issue about salaries now is dead and buried, 100 percent guarantee, salaries will be paid every month, on time, thanks to NetOne sponsorship.
Question: Will CAPS United not go the GalA?cticos way where the expensive, world-famous Real Madrid football players were recruited during the a?galA?cticosa? policy before they failed to deliver?
