The Green Machine last month beat the army side 2-0 in the Zimbabwe National Army Commander’s Charity Shield tie at Rufaro but Khumbuyani believes a lot has changed since the pre-season game.
CAPS United faltered in their first game of the season when they lost 0-1 to Harare City as Crispen Dickson scored the priceless goal while Black Rhinos showed a never-say-die spirit by coming from behind to dismiss highly-fancied Monomotapa 3-2.
A brace by Tawanda Nyamandwe helped CAPS United cruise to a 2-1 win over Motor Action in their second game, where the quality of their first half performance shone brightly, while Rhinos fought like real soldiers to earn a point away in Hwange.
Chipangano thought they had wrapped the game until wily old horse, Lazarus Muhoni, snatched a draw from the jaws of a defeat.
Khumbuyani now believes they are going to face a tricky opponent.
“It was a fine feeling winning our first game when we beat Motor Action and I think everyone played well in that match,” said Khumbuyani.
“We created almost the same number of chances just like in the match against Harare City and at least managed to convert them.
“In the first game, we created chances but our performance was not up to scratch.
“We improved in the second game and utilised the chances against Motor Action.”
Khumbuyani said Rhinos could prove stubborn opponents.
“I think we should not be underrating Black Rhinos at all,” said Khumbuyani.
“We know that we defeated them in a cup match during pre-season but this a league tie and a new game altogether.
“I just hope to get a good result.”
