“We are not winning. We are failing to score and the coaches are responsible. They must identify the weaknesses and correct them but they have been found wanting,” said Nephiel Rugara, the new Shabanie chairman.
“Technically, we are not right and tomorrow (today) we are going to sit as an executive and chart the way forward. We are going to look at his future.”
Club president, Greg Mataka, a medical doctor by profession, feels they need to help the young coach.
“The executive will sit down this week and they need to give him the necessary support. We also need to come up with a decision on our banned coach,” he said. Mataka has been on record saying they were waiting for the outcome of the appeal that Luke Masomere filed with Zifa following the ban imposed on him in the Asiagate scandal.
Jani was appointed on an interim basis and is being assisted by Phillip Sithole, the veteran right back for the miners. Some Shabanie executive committee members opposed his appointment.
Before their match against Triangle on Monday, the players were given lunch (sadza and stew) at 1pm, just two hours before the game.

Shabanie will host champions Dynamos in a midweek fixture at Maglas on Wednesday.
In the 2011 season, coach Saul Chaminuka had to leave the stadium under police escort after losing to 1-2 to Chicken Inn at home.
In his first match he had been beaten by Highlanders at Barbourfields and the defeat at the hands of Chicken Inn marked the end of his stay in charge of the club.
