A 35-year-old car dealer on Saturday lost more than US$6000 to his passengers.

Tapiwa Madziya of Boss Madziya Car Sale along Chiremba road in Braeside lost US$6 100.

Tapiwa clashed with his niece Adolation Machangara, 34, and her friend Tanaka Munashe Dinani who were with him in his Mazda CX5 accusing them of stealing his money.

After quizzing them over the allegations since they were the ones who witnessed him receiving the money from his manager, Tapiwa decided to lodge a report with the police against them on Tuesday.

Adolation and Tanaka are employed at a bar in Chitungwiza.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
