The pairing have been beaten finalists at tournaments in Madrid, Strasbourg and Birmingham since teaming up in May and reached the quarter-finals of the French Open. The combination suffered their earliest exit at Eastbourne this week, losing in the first round to fourth seeds Flavia Pennetta and Elena Vesnina 6-2, 7-5.

The pair also made the quarter-finals at the French Open earlier this month, however they were eliminated by experienced duo Pennetta and Vesnina in the first round at Eastbourne this week. Individually, Erakovic is ranked No. 26 in the world at doubles after winning seven career titles, while Black is No. 36.
