AFRO-FUSION musician Carlos Green reckons he has come off age and his music now speaks for itself.
The musician and his VMV band will tonight unveil their fourth studio project, ‘Tisu Tega Tinozvigona,’ at Liquid Lounge in Shamva.
Green revealed he featured a song dedicated to ‘Simba Bhora’ on the new album.
The Shamva-based side are standing on the threshold of becoming league champions.
They hold a six-point lead over FC Platinum with just a few games remaining.
Simba Bhora club owner and businessman Simbarashe “Buju” Ndoro is expected to grace the launch.
Green will be supported by an array of artists who include rapper Stunner, Zimdancehall chanters Hwinza, Ndunge Yut and Andy Muridzo.
Raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda is also part of the event.
“This is an exciting album and I have chosen a Shona title so that I can appeal to all fans.
“Everything is set and I am inviting fans in Shamva to be part of the event as we unveil the new album,” said Green.
He believes his new compositions will put him back on the map.
“I am not a spent force, I only make calculated moves and I have now matured in my art.
“The new music will speak for itself and I am sure the fans will have something to enjoy this Christmas,” he said.
Andy Muridzo has also confirmed being part of the Shamva launch.
“Greetings Shamva, I will be supporting my friend Carlos Green at his album launch on Friday November 1 at Liquid Lounge, let’s meet there,” said Muridzo.
Upcoming chanter Madedido, Young Fantan, Gidza Boy and Chi Undertaker have also been roped in to showcase their talents.
Various socialites and Green’s close friends, including Madzibaba Samson, are expected to join the party.
