A local businesswoman has donated a full kit to the Highlanders’ Under-14 junior side. Caroline Ndlovu, who runs a sports shop in the city, Carol Fashions, donated the kit worth about $1,000 which she hopes, will go a long way in motivating the youngsters who are the future of Highlanders. “This is a token of appreciation that I’m giving to the team that I love so dearly. We ‘ve always been encouraged as members to assist the club wherever we can and I have decided to do just that,” said Ndlovu yesterday.

She presented the new kit to the club at a press conference on Thursday that was attended by vice chairman Morden Ngwenya and club chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede who thanked her for the kind gesture. Meanwhile, Bosso have revived Highlanders Royals in line with the Fifa club licensing dictates.

A steering committee that has Ndlovu and Zifa honorary member Cecilia Malunga has since been put in place.

The revived team is set to compete in the regional women’s League that will also have New Orleans, Street Set, Cowdray Park, Umguza, Hwange, Sobukhazi among other teams.
