DUBAI-based gospel singer, Carol Israelle, is set to release her debut album next week.
Tilted Hope, the nine-track album will be launched online, together with a single video.
The 36-year-old, who works with Mai Shingisai Suluma as a backing vocalist, is excited to instil a message of hope into the hearts of fans, through music.
“This album is inspired mainly by Romans 5:5 which says, ‘Such hope (in God’s promises) never disappoints us….’.
“Interestingly, though, there is no song on the album titled Hope but all the songs, when summed up, convey a message of hope.
“We have lived through unprecedented times since the beginning of the pandemic.
“People have suffered and continue to confront a variety of hardships, and we are all in need of encouragement,” she said.
Carol encountered several challenges in the production of her debut album.
However, she managed to do it, thanks to consistency and hard work.
“Teething issues were unavoidable, the majority of our team members were not in the same location, most of the work had to be done remotely, which presented its own set of issues.
“However, by the grace of God, we sailed through.
“I was very glad to have joined other great ministers at ANOT in January, which was my first live appearance as a solo artist.”
Carol recently released a single titled Makakodzera.
She is a chartered accountant by profession, a wife, and a mother of two.
She sings with Mai Suluma and is a member of the Joystreet Choir.
