After travelling through various cities with its Micro Braai Fest series, Castle Lager Braai Fest held its 10th celebrations at Glamis Arena on Saturday night.
The event returned to the capital city for a lively celebration of local music, food and culture.
The Braai Fest audience was colourful and diverse, with thousands of attendants having travelled from different cities.
The event that is coined the biggest braai day in Zimbabwe lived up to its billing as meat lovers indulged in various portions of meat along with beverages of their choice.
Known for attracting thousands of festival goers, this year’s edition surpassed expectation as the turnout was impressive.
The crowd was treated to energetic performances by local music sensation Winky D, the main act, supported by Master H, Saintfloew, Nutty O, EXQ, Nisha Ts, DJ Tira, Heavy K, Ammara Brown, Tamy Moyo, and Chillspot Family.
With his ‘national anthem’, “Too Much,” Nutty O graced the stage with style, giving a clean and energetic performance.
Dressed in purple, Tamy Moyo showed on the stage with her sassiness.
Tamy’s performance of her trending song “Mamero”, featuring Silent Killer had the crowd going wild.
Fresh from hospital, Saintfloew had the energy. He came prepared for the stage.
Songstress Ammara Brown performed to perfection, remembering her father during her act.

Clad in a red outfit as part of the theme’s celebration, the songbird had a good return to the stage after months of not performing.
Ammara recently gave birth to her second child.
In an interview, Ammara said it was a magical moment as she connected well with her fans.
“When I looked at the audience, I connected eye to eye with my fans and it was so beautiful.
“It was great to be part of this celebration,” she said.
Fresh from releasing his latest album, EXQ kicked off the stage with an energetic performance, warming up the crowd that had been entertained by DJs.
His latest album, “Rhaka Rhaka,” is making waves in the music scene, and his live performance did not disappoint.
Enzo Ishall left a mark when he sampled a new song, “Musoro” featuring Killer T.
The chanter gave a clean act with fans singing along during his performance.
Chitungwiza-bred chanter Master H, who continues to rise, gave a clean act alongside his band.
The “Nawanadem” hitmaker thanked Delta Beverages for continuously supporting arts in Zimbabwe through various initiatives.
Master H’s catalogue of songs, including “Dhadzi,” “Zviri Mumoyo,” and “Nawanadem,” drew cheers from the crowd as they sang along.
Nisha Ts came prepared and delivered the best performance that solidified her position on the entertainment circles.
Nisha Ts stole the show by delivering a solid performance, impressing the audience with her energy and passion.
Dancehall sensation Winky D, popularly known as the “Ninja president,” performed second from last, mesmerising the crowd with his signature blend of energy and charisma.
His set was packed with sing-along tracks, and he left the audience clamouring for more.
Winky D proved why he remains one of the most sought-after entertainers in the country.
Top South African DJ Tira had a good day in office.
He captivated the audience with his polished performance. Known for his club hits and infectious stage presence, Tira easily won over the crowd through his engaging interaction.
Closing the curtains, Heavy K’s performance was a great way of shutting down the event.
He surely knows what it means to be on deck.
The event also saw fans not only enjoying music, but also feasting on some of the braai packs offered.
“This is our Christmas and thank you organisers for such an event. I travelled all the way from Chinhoyi for this, and I came with my friends from Mufakose, Chitungwiza and Helensvale.”
“There was no chaos and everything worked well, I think now Zimbabweans are appreciating events well,” said Micheal Nkosi.
