Bulawayo came alive on Saturday evening as The Smokehouse hosted the Castle Lite Nights Special Edition, a vibrant fusion of music, entertainment, and anticipation. The highlight of the evening was the live draw for the Castle Lite Unlocks Travis Scott concert in Johannesburg, but the night’s real magic came from the music and energy on stage.
The atmosphere was both festive and charged with excitement as revellers gathered to witness who would secure an all-expenses-paid trip to see American rapper Travis Scott perform live on October 11. The moment of truth came when Anele
Ngwenya was announced as the lucky winner of the on-the-spot draw. Screams and applause erupted from the crowd, setting the tone for what became a memorable night.
The other six winners of the nationwide competition will be unveiled in due course, keeping the anticipation alive.
The entertainment line-up was equally electric, featuring some of the city’s most recognised DJs. Kotwane Hikwa, DJ Smaller, Frosty, Nizhe De Soul, and Ryan Synth each brought their own unique flavour, seamlessly blending genres that had the audience dancing non-stop. South African percussion ensemble Soul Nativz added a cross-border spark to the night, while DJ Nospa commanded the stage as MC, ensuring the energy never dipped.
From the early evening right through to midnight, the venue was a hive of activity, with the beats pulsating.
More than just a party, Castle Lite Nights have once again proven to be a cultural hub, a place where local talent is spotlighted, and global brand energy meets the heartbeat of Bulawayo’s nightlife. The series has grown into a staple on the city’s entertainment calendar, consistently offering revellers a mix of good music, refreshing beers, and a sense of community that always shows up for the culture.
