A businessman from the Makwe area of Gwanda district, who broke into 10 premises from where he stole property and two motor vehicles, was yesterday sentenced to 25 years in jail.
Mthokozisi Ntokozo Ngwenya (26), the proprietor of J.T.S. and Sons General dealer at Makwe Business Centre, initially pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of unlawful entry, 10 counts of theft and two counts of theft of motor vehicles.

Zimbabwe Saints Football Club outgoing chairman Felix Dzumbunu has appealed to club members to come in their numbers to attend Sunday’s annual general meeting at the clubhouse in Queens Park East.
“The annual general meeting is an important gathering for the club. It is where the club’s performance of the previous year is discussed and plans for the ensuing year formulated,” said Dzumbunu.
He said the future of the club lay in active participation by members.
