THE Beitbridge Border Post was yesterday heavily congested as scores of travellers, a majority of them injiva and locals going for Christmas shopping, passed through ahead of Christmas tomorrow.
When Chronicle visited the border post yesterday morning, there were long winding queues of travellers awaiting both customs and immigration clearance on both arrival and departure side.
Immigration staff and police officers had a torrid time controlling the queues of travellers.

Gender-based violence has been described as the emotional abuse through one’s behaviour by a partner in a relationship towards another and this is all meant to control him or her.
Abusive partners use coercion and threats to get their way under such a set-up. Such violence can come in the form of sexual and psychological harassment. Such a situation results in the affected partner living in a virtual hell.
