Don’t interfere with share scheme, politicians told

TRADITIONAL leaders in Mashonaland West Province say the recently launched Chegutu- Mhondo-ro-Ngezi-Zvimba Community Share Ownership Trust will transform villagers’ lives and speed up development in their communities.
However, the chiefs warned politicians not to interfere with the programme.
President Mugabe officially laun-ched the Zimplats share ownership trust a fortnight ago in a development that saw the platinum firm ceding 10 percent stake to the communities.
In separate interviews this week, the chiefs said anyone opposed to the economic empowerment of communities was pushing a colonial agenda.
