TWO men have been arrested in Bulawayo after a tip-off led police to a Mabuthweni house where suspected stolen property was allegedly being sold.

Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thandekile Ndlovu said police received information on October 3 at around 11am that stolen property was being bought and sold at the house.

Acting on the tip-off, police raided the house and found Taurai Vhunduke, 29, in possession of a 32-inch Lunar television valued at US$155, which he was allegedly offering for sale.

When questioned about the television, Vhunduke allegedly implicated Kelvin Tatenda Maruza, 24, of Njube.

Vhunduke also confessed to having sold some decoders, police said.
Investigations further revealed that an iPhone 12 cellphone valued at US$120 had already been sold to a woman from Nkulumane.

Police recovered the cellphone and arrested Maruza at around 7.55pm the same day.
Asst Insp Ndlovu thanked members of the public for providing information which led to the arrests.
