He died at the age of 80 at Parirenyatwa Hospital on December 1 after a long illness.
Cde Majuru was born on May 31 in 1931 at Majuru village under Chief Chikwaka, Goromonzi.
Cde Majuru supported the liberation struggle by supplying clothing and food to the fighters.
During the liberation war Cde Majuru was detained several times by settler regime.
At independence Cde Majuru was elected Zanu-PF Chinyika district chairman in Goromonzi.
He rose through the party ranks to become Mashonaland East provincial secretary for economic affairs.
He was chosen as provincial secretary for transport and welfare in the 1980s and in 2005 he was elected senator for Goromonzi-Murewa on a Zanu-PF ticket.
In 2008 Cde Majuru became a member of the national consultative council, the position he held until the time of his death.
