WHAT will our celebrities be doing this Easter weekend?
Well, you don’t need to worry because, as they usually do, they tell you through their favourite newspaper, H-Metro.

Minister Michael Mahendere (musician/preacher)
The Passover holiday is a sacred time for me and those in the Christian Community.
It’s a time we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and that means I will be celebrating it at Church.
Passover holiday means that I have a new lease of life and it revives my spirit to know that God Almighty deemed it worthy that His Only Son Live and be crucified for me.
I will be celebrating at church in the presence of God, through worship, reading and hearing the Word.

We are going to church the whole of Easter.
We have one of Zimbabwe’s finest in Apostle Kaps preaching at our church.
It’s an Easter not to miss.

I’m going to be at the SAMA Festival here in the UK, with other artists like Baba Harare, Holy 10, Mark Ngwazi, Seh Calaz and Gemma.
Easter is a time where we remember how Jesus Christ came down and died for our sins.
This holiday means a lot and is a bit emotional too.

I am going to church on Friday morning then work in the evening.
On Saturday, I will spend it with my family then work in the evening.
On Sunday, I will visit my in-laws then work in the evening.
I will give my friends time from 8am till 3am on Monday.

On Good Friday, I will be performing live at The Usual Place, Jameson Hotel.
On Saturday I will hold another show at a private function in Borrowdale. It’s a wedding party.
Sunday I will be joining my family at the farm for the Easter Sunday get together.

I will celebrate it at my church, attending Easter revival, ministering and thanking God for He gave us His only begotten son Jesus Christ for us to have peace, salvation and redemption. I understand that many will be travelling during this holiday, please don’t forget to pray seeking for protection and never drink and drive.

On Friday and Saturday, I will be home with the kids.
Remember, schools closed recently so it’s time for me to bond with the kids.
On Sunday, I’m off to Chaka Business Centre, Mvuma to celebrate music legend Leonard Dembo’s life with friends and villagers.

I will be spending most of the holiday at church and with my family.

I will take my children for some activities, especially the young one with her friends.

Easter goes beyond a holiday and it’s about celebrating the King of Kings.

I am travelling to Chivumudhara to go and spend time with Nyakutumbura. We were born in church and raised in Mission schools where Easter was always celebrated. We grew up with these Christian values and have always remembered such.
