CELEBS BEHAVING BADLY

Trust Khosa, Content Coordinator

BEING a celebrity is not only about status and fame.

It comes with its own fair share of demands, temptations and benefits.

Taking full responsibility, once caught offside or implicated in any wrong doing, is all that they need to save their brands.

Here we list some of the drama we have covered recently.

l KILLER T ASPIDALE PARK DRAMA

The Zim dancehall stalwart, who many thought was the “voice of reason” in the game, shocked all and sundry yesterday when it emerged, he is, indeed, a “hothead” in real life.

He riled Aspindale Park residents, when he blocked both the exit and entry points at the gated community with his two cars, in the morning.

Killer T, a resident at the complex, pulled the stunt because he did not have the access tags, which cost US$40, which he chose not to buy.

Police had to intervene.

This moment of madness is likely to tarnish his reputation if he doesn’t do the right thing – apologising.

Born Kelvin Kusikwenyu, the chanter should apologise to his fans, sponsors and fellow residents as a matter of urgency.

l JAH PRAYZAH TOLLGATE FRACAS

Superstar Jah Prayzah is no doubt a household name, but he was once caught offside in 2016 when he had just made a big breakthrough.

He grabbed the headlines after allegedly fleeing from the police, and Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) officials, at the Shurugwi tollgate.

He was summoned to Gweru Police Station to pay for his vehicle registration licence.

The police demanded that he pay US$20 for one term but he still refused.

However, Jah Prayzah appears to have come to his senses.

He has matured and managed  to rebrand himself.

This is what we expect from Killer T.

l TREVOR DONGO PUBLIC FIGHT

In the same year, the most sought after urban grooves star was involved in a street fight at Fife Avenue shopping Centre.

He was bashed by a street kid who had snatched his food and the video clip circulated on social media.

For a person of Dongo’s status, it was not worth it to engage in a fist fight, with street kids.

However, Dongo has matured, after that nasty experience, and Killer T can still do the same.

l SOUL JAH LOVE ANTICS

He once missed his own album launch – under the influence of drugs.

He was once arrested in Mutare for aborted shows.

l TERERAI MUGWADI BAR BRAWLS

Then, we have this talented songbird, who is no stranger to bar brawls.

She has been fined on several occasions and, at some point, she was arrested for her wayward conduct.

In a nutshell, celebrities should go for grooming classes to ensure they are not caught offside.

Like others before him, Killer T needs to swallow his pride and mend bridges with those he wronged.
