Central Region league goes to the wire

AFTER the weekend round of matches, the Zifa Central Soccer League is set to go to the wire as four teams are still in with a chance to grab the sole promotional ticket to the Castle Lager Premiership.
With three rounds of matches to go before curtains come down, table toppers Whawha who have amassed 49 points from 23 matches, varsity outfit MSU (48 points), ZRP Beitbridge (46 points) and Chrome Stars (43 points) still have a chance to land a Premiership berth.

Whawha maintained the lead without kicking a ball as they were awarded the game against expelled Chomumvuri Pirates while MSU ensured that they collected maximum points from their second Gwanda sojourn after dispatching a stubborn Blanket Mine 2-1.
