A new US$1 million clinic has been commissioned at Bikita Minerals Sinomine in Bikita.

The opening of the new clinic is a major boost for health delivery for communities in Bikita and the neighbouring Gutu district.

Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Ezra Chadzamira commissioned the new state-of-the-art clinic.

It was built by Bikita Minerals Sinomine as part of the lithium miner’s corporate social responsibility programme.

Minister Chadzamira said the opening of the new facility is in sync with the Second Republic’s Vision 2030.

He paid homage to Bikita Minerals for ploughing back to the community and urged more firms to follow suit.

Bikita Minerals managing director Mr Xuedong Gong says his company is committed to uplifting the lives of people in communities where it operates.

Bikita Minerals is one of the biggest lithium miners in Zimbabwe. The new clinic at Bikita Minerals will reduce pressure on Silveira Mission Hospital and Bikita District Hospital.
