Chafa chooses to look at the brighter side

CAPS United veteran midfielder, Devon Chafa, was not looking at the turmoil in his camp yesterday.

Resurgent problems at the Green Machine have meant that their Battle of Cities showdown against Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday, now hangs in the balance.

Makepekepe players have been protesting by withdrawing from their training sessions over unpaid dues.

However, Chafa chose to look at the brighter side yesterday.

Makepekepe are unbeaten in their last six matches in the league.

“We are trying to get into a positive mood for the game. We are not focusing on what is happening in our camp because we have bragging rights to fight for.

“We are still in the relegation zone, so a positive result will give us some breathing space.

“It’s a tough game.

“Emagumeni is not an easy place to visit. We are going to throw everything we have to fight for the badge.”

In the event the match goes ahead, it will be a tough reunion for Joel “Josta” Ngodzo, who joined the Green Machine from Bosso, last month.
