Chanter prays against Covid-19

UPCOMING Afro dancehall artist, Sherrllington “Shellaz Love Maker” Mukumbira, is set to release an album titled Arise and Shine, which is a prayer against Covid-19.

The 23 year-old musician, who developed a passion for music as a child, said his new album was inspired by the death of many people who succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The album is a prayer against Covid-19 and it will be released on the 13th of December

“So many loved ones were lost during this Covid-19 outbreak and l realised there is a need for a prayer.

“The album contains eight tracks and the other tracks are love songs,” he said.

Shellaz Love Maker is aiming to open a studio so as to help other local musicians.

“My aim is to open a studio so that I can help other local artists.

“I am hoping to be one of the best artists in Zimbabwe and internationally,” he said.

The young artist has been facing challenges but he is doing his best to keep going.

“I am facing challenges, especially in terms of funds to record my music.

“Also, the issue of management, I am doing everything on my own.

“And I would like to thank those who helped me to record my new album.”

The CD will be offered for free.
