KUWADZANA-BASED chanter Blessing “Seeuro” Nyikadzino is set to release an Extended Play titled ‘The Return of Sauro,’ which is in honour of the late Soul Jah Love.
The Soul Jah Love protégé rebranded his stage name from Baba Beeby to Seeuro.
‘The Return of Sauro’ was produced by various producers who include Dkt Dallas, DJ Skirihwawa, Mastermind, Decco Beats and DJ Tenkay Stash.
Seeuro said he is even ready to lead the Conquering Family in reviving the legacy of Soul Jah Love.
In an interview with H-Metro, Seeuro said his wish is to take Zimdancehall to a new level.
The EP has nine tracks which are Rwendo, View Mirror, Hupenyu, Mwari Ndiri Mutadzi, Makandigona and Rinhiko.
“The EP has diverse songs that seek to inspire fellow youths like gospel tracks, Ndiri Mutadzi and Mwari.
“To those who love hard-core dancehall songs haven’t been left out as such songs are also on the EP and they are HorsePower and View Mirror.
“l rebranded my name to Seeuro because l believe I am the second version of Soul Jah Jove.
“As Seeuro The Second, l will keep working with the Conquering Family until 2099,” he said.
He added:
“Rwedo is a song which narrates how I made it in life against all the odds and the inspiration behind the EP is an account of my life.
“My dream is to take this Soul Jah Love version to the very top.”
Soul Jah Love succumbed to diabetes-related complications at Mbuya Dorcas Hospital, at the age 31, in February 2021.
