Chapman win Davy trophy

Team Three, which was made up of Elsa Fuchs, Pam Massey, Flo Muller and Jane Salimo, were crowned this year’s Margaret Davy Trophy champions at Royal Harare.
Chapman Team Two were the runaway winners in the silver division of the HPLGU.

The team beat the Royal women’s team of Yolanda Mubayiwa, Linda Turnbull, Thembi Moyo and Luanne Mitchell in the final.
The Margaret Davy trophy tournament has become a regular feature on the Zimbabwean golf calendar and is one of the oldest trophies on the local scene.
The annual Margaret Davy tournament had a good turnout this year.

The Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Association public relations manager, Hellen van Rensburg, praised the organisers of the tournament.
“Well done to Royal Harare captain Heather Carlisle and her team for managing to entice 16 teams to participate in this year’s Margaret Davy team matchplay tournament.

“The event was well organised and ran like clockwork with the teams being given lunch on the first day and a light supper on the second day. The grandson of Margaret was there to present the prizes,” Ransberg said.
