Charamba ready for Marange Resources Pro-Am

“I am looking forward to the tournament it will be good to pose a challenge to other golfers,” said Charamba.
“I will have two practice rounds, which I believe will make me familiar with the course.
“I have played at Hillside before but it has been a while since I last played at the course but I still have an idea.
“I played there as a junior and amateur golfer and it is a good challenge for me to return and play in Mutare.”
Charamba believes he will have to beat a strong challenge as there are several good golfers in contention.
“There is competition as we go into the tournament but I will try to play my best game,” said Charamba.
“The tournament is so good for us as professional golfers and I hope everyone is looking forward to the challenge.”
Charamba won the first tournament of the season, the Mashwede Open, but will have to work even harder this time around.
Robson Saurombe, who grew up in Mutare but is now based at Chapman, remains one of the top contenders in the US$30 000 purse tournament.
At least 55 professionals are expected to converge in Mutare for the high-profile tournament.
Hillside last hosted a professional tournament in 2007 when the second leg of the NetOne series was held at the same course.
Meanwhile, Brendon de Jonge made the cut at the Crown Plaza Invitational at Colonial in the United States at the weekend.
De Jonge, however, could not improve from last week’s 15th place.
He is now ranked 54th in the world.
