“I had a great game and it was nice to play in a competitive field.
“I thank the sponsors as the event was well organised. We hope that next year they will come with a full tournament.
“I feel very honoured to win the first edition of the event and Royal Harare was in perfect condition,” he added.
Charamba could have won a C-Class Mercedes Benz if his tee on the par-three 15, which hit the pin, had dropped into the hole for a hole-in-one.
“That was my best shot of the day,” said Charamba.
Roy da Costa was the runners-up after with a 71.
In-form Ryan Cairns was third after carding a level par 72.
The tournament saw the sponsors donating an ambulance to the City of Harare, which was received by the mayor, Muchadeyi Masunda.
