Having last performed in the town last year where they drew a full house, the show promises gospel music at its best in a family atmosphere at a show dubbed Family Fun Day.
A spokesperson for the organisers of the show, Mr Fortune Murisi, said preparations for the show were at an advanced stage, adding that they do not want to leave anything to chance.
“Everything in terms of the contracts with the artistes are already signed and sealed. The venue has already been secured and what is left is for people to enjoy music with the First Family of Gospel Music in the country,” he said.
Being a holiday, he said the show affords every parent an opportunity to spend time with their children, adding that everything for everyone has been lined up including braai, jumping castles and face painting for children among other activities.
Groups such as the Angelic Voices Choir will curtain-raise for the Charambas who have never disappointed whenever they go on stage with polished acts that have gone on to inspire other upcoming artistes.
Although they have a big fan base across the country, Chinhoyi folks and surrounding areas have always come in their numbers to their shows.
Amai Charamba said Chinhoyi was like home to them, saying they have always hold memorable and well organised shows.
“Our shows in Chinhoyi have always been special as we often receive warm reception from the fans while organisers of the shows have been thorough in terms of their preparations,” she said.
The couple has a vast catalogue of songs some of which have become anthems in their long and illustrious musical career including “Nyika yeZimbabwe”, “Buruka”, “Machira Chete” and “Mukadzi muSamaria”.
