The gig, which kicks off at 2pm, coincides with the re-opening of Gute Executive Nightclub which now boasts a spacious garden area where there is the state-of-the-art lighting, sound and a gazebo.
So far the place is proving to be popular with not only Chitungwiza residents, but revellers from Harare as well.
Mijintu is largely credited for taking the barura beat popularised by his late mentor Leonard Dembo to another level, will be in full force with his group Zare.
But that is not all, the artiste has also gone a notch up in perfecting his vocal skills and fans should brace for a flawless delivery.
Before releasing his fifth album, Mijintu was criticised for lacking in vocal clarity, but on album number five called “Degree Murudo” released in 2009, the Chitungwiza-based artiste silenced critics with a fine tuned piece of music.
Another surprise twist was that Mijintu sang in isiNdebele on the last album.
“Degree Murudo” was recorded at the Zimbabwe Music Corporation and his other albums include “Ndafunga Barura” (2007), “Revai” (2008), “Ngoma YeZare” (2008).
Jeff Gute, the owner of the nightclub, urged fans to come in their numbers and enjoy the good ambience and sing along music when Mijintu takes to the stage.
“We are excited to present Mijintu for the first time at the joint which since its opening has attracted huge crowds.
“We promise quality entertainment and services to our patrons and as always is the case regular patrons get complimentary snacks.
“Music lovers should also look forward to more shows featuring some of the top acts in Zimbabwe in future,” he said.
