A CHEEKY Harare man allegedly sodomised a policeman after taking advantage of his drunken stupor recently. Naison Mabhoyi (29) of V30 Chizhanje in Mabvuku was not formally charged with aggravated indecent assault when he appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Anita Tshuma who remanded him in custody to September 23.
Ms Tshuma ordered Mabhoyi to apply for bail at the High Court due to the seriousness of the offence he was facing.
Prosecutor Mr Tungamirai Chakurira alleges that the 28-year-old policeman based at the Police General Headquarters, is a friend to Mabhoyi.
It is alleged that on August 25 and at around 9pm, the policeman met Mabhoyi who was in the company of a friend, at a local bar.
The court heard that they drank beer until 5am, the following day and boarded a commuter omnibus to Mabhoyi’s house in Mabvuku.
While at the house Mabhoyi and the policeman slept on the same bed and shared one blanket while their friend slept on the sofa, it is alleged.
While under the blanket, Mabhoyi reportedly fondled the policeman’s abdomen and he resisted before Mabhoyi pretended to be asleep, the court heard.
At around 9am, it is alleged, the policeman was awakened by the friend and he discovered that he had human waste and semen on his buttocks. He had no clothes.
He informed the friend before reporting the case to the police.
He was referred to hospital for medical examination where it was established he had been sodomised.
