SCHWEPPES Holdings Africa Limited and Kidzcan joined Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals to bring some cheer to 37 children currently receiving treatment at the health institution.
Schweppes corporate affairs executive, Ropafadzo Gwanetsa, said people’s health mattered to them which explains their decision to extend a helping hand.
“As part of our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, we are always guided by the sustainability goals and promote healthy living and well-being for all ages,” said Gwanetsa.
“We have been working with Kidzcan for almost a decade now and are convinced that together we are able to provide healthcare for children affected by cancer.
“It’s not always about handing out a big cheque, but also the intangible support that can help lessen the load on all stakeholders in the provision of healthcare. “Kidzcan executive director, Daniel Mckenzie, said they were proud of working with different organisations in trying to help people in the health sector.
“We join more than 180 esteemed members from more than 68 countries around the world.
“This opens the door for our foundation for international networking and support, educational opportunities and the inspiration of a globally shared mission finding cures and saving children everywhere.
“Members of the alliance support the belief that every child everywhere deserves the chance to live regardless of race, religion or the ability to pay,” said Mckenzie.
